Blacksmith's credo

Time  consuming -  a good piece of  blacksmithery can take a rather long
time to make. Each
piece unique and I do not make compromises on quality.

I design most of my ironwork myself.  On rare occasions, I can work based on an architect’s sketch which needs  a forged  solution and work drawings.  In my opinion, forecasting the amount of  time required  to complete the work based on experience does not provide accurate results. Sometimes it may take longer that planned to complete the work and then I berate myself for designing such a complicated piece... The finished work is like your own child, though, and every effort seems worthwhile in the end.
