Stove

Tartu 2006

Back in the day, the stove was located in a little room in the stern of the barge which was also slept in when the weather was cold.  Today, the engine of Jõmmu is located there and the hearth has been moved to the hold which was used to hold the cargo in the past. The woodburning stove is equipped with a frame to keep the stones in place on the roughest waters and the feet keep the hearth away from the floor. The stove also has a slightly raised edge to keep all the pots and pans in place during a storm.
